Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. Unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 c. Water
- 8 ounce Maraschino cherries, finely cut with juice
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 2 c. Whipped cream
- 1/3 c. Blanched almonds, finely cut
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 tsp Almond extract
Directions
- Soften gelatin in water for 5 min. Place over boiling water; stir till completely dissolved. Add in maraschino cherries, sugar and salt. Refrigeratetill slightly thickened. Fold whipped cream, almonds, vanilla and almond extract into gelatin mix. Spread on cake and refrigerateseveral hrs before serving.
