Directions

  1. Cover beans with water and let soak overnight. Drain beans, discarding soaking water. In crock pot, cover beans with fresh water and add in remaining ingredients. Cook on LOW for 6-8 hrs, till beans are tender. Taste beans, add in salt if necessary (do not add in salt at the beginning of cooking time - it will make the beans tough!).
