Directions

  1. Combine chocolate chips, lowfat milk and 3 Tbsp. butter in microwave safe bowl. Heat 3 min. Stir till smooth. Stir in 1/2 the walnuts and 1 tsp. vanilla.
  2. In large bowl combine flour, brown sugar, Large eggs, soda, salt, remaining butter and 1 Tbsp. vanilla. Beat at medium speed 3 min, scraping bowl occasionally with spoon, stir in oats and remaining walnuts; mix well.
  3. Press 1/4 dough in bottom of greased 8" square Pyrex dish. Top with 1/2 chocolate mix. Drop 1/4 dough by tsp. over chocolate. Makes 2 pans.
  4. Cook one dish at a time, 8 to 11 min, rotating dish, 1/4 turn and 5 min, then at 2 minute intervals till top is set. Cold in dish directly on heat proof surface.
