Directions

  1. Brown roast on both sides in warm oil in a large Dutch oven. Sprinkle roast with basil, garlic pwdr, and pepper; top with onion. Add in warm water. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 2 1/2 hrs or possibly till tender.
  2. Remove from pan drippings to serve.
