  • 6 c. minced apples peeled and cored
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. finely minced fresh ginger
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar or possibly up to 2-c. sugar depending on sweetness of apples

  • 1/2 tsp grnd allspice

Directions

  1. Wash 2 pint jars with lids, or possibly 4 half-pint jars with lids; set aside.
  2. Combine the apples, raisins, ginger, sugar, vinegar and spices in a large saucepan. Place over medium-low heat and bring to a boil, stirring often.

  7. Yields 4 c..
