Amazing Wheat Free Waffles Recipe

No one will know these are wheat free and dairy free. Great flavor and crispy texture make these waffles perfect for Sunday mornings. My son thought they were so good he told me I had to call them Amazing Waffles. I make extra batches on the weekend and freeze them for a quick toaster waffle on weekday mornings. So much better than than the packaged frozen varieties. You can add chocolate chips after pouring the batter in for a special treat. Adding gluten improves the texture but if you're gluten free leave it out. The waffles are still excellent

Directions

  1. In an 8 cup measuring cup or large bowl combine oat milk and vinegar. Let sit a few minutes. Add oil, eggs, margarine and vanilla and whisk until completely combined.
  2. In a medium bowl combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, spices and gluten, if using. Whisk to combine. Add liquid ingredients to flour mixture and stir just until combined. Do not overmix. Let batter sit at least 30 minutes before using.
  3. Preheat waffle iron. Cook waffles, following directions on your waffle maker. To make chocolate chip waffles pour batter into waffle iron and sprinkle with chocolate chips before closing lid.
