Hi, Julie! I am happy to be the first to welcome you to this very friendly and interesting cooking site. I joined this past January, and have really found it useful, helpful, interesting and filled with cooks who realy enjoy sharing ideas, recipes and suggestions. Join a bunch of Groups and don't be afraid (it is Halloween, after all) to try some dishes you might not have otherwise tried.
