Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 medium onions, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, plus 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 to 3 medium carrots, roughly chopped
  • 3/4 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 (12 ounce) bottle beer
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1-24 ounce package Simply Potatoes-Garlic mashed
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
