Ingredients
- 2 x Oranges, peel of, finely shredded
- 1 c. Sugar, divided
- 2 c. Flour
- 3 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/3 c. Lowfat milk, about
- 1 x Egg
Directions
- Put orange peel inn saucepan and cover with water, adding 1/2 c. of sugar.
- Simmer till tender. Remove peel and cook liquid down to about 1/3 c.. In mixing bowl combine rest of sugar, flour, baking pwdr and salt. Ad lowfat milk to orange syrup to make 2/3 c. liquid and mix with 1 egg. Stir all ingredients together with orange peel. Bake in greased loaf pan at 350 for 45 min.
