  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grease 12 muffin c.. In each c. put 2 tsp. maple syrup, 1 tsp. minced walnuts and 1/2 tsp. melted butter. Sift together dry ingredients and set aside. Beat together syrup, egg, lowfat milk and oil. Add in to dry ingredients, stirring just sufficient to blend.
  2. Fill each c. 2/3 full. Bake for 20 min. Invert muffin tins onto a wire rack covered with wax paper, and let stand for a few min. Best when served hot.
