  • 1/3 c. Water
  • 1/3 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Mirin (sweet cooking rice wine)
  • 2 tsp Matcha (powdered green tea)
  • 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. Half and half

Directions

  1. Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring, till the sugar melts, and simmer the syrup for 5 min. Stir in the mirin and remove from heat. In a separate bowl, mix I Tbsp. of the syrup with the powdered green tea, then add in which mix to the syrup in the saucepan, and stir till proportionately mixed. Add in lowfat milk and half and half, pour into an ice cream freezer, and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
