Holiday Salad Recipe

Everyone loves this salad.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag fresh cranberries, chopped
  • 1 (15 oz) can crushed pineapple, drain and reserve juice
  • 1 (15 oz) can mandrin oranges, drain and reserve juice
  • 1 1/2 - 2 cups pecans, rough chopped
  • 3/4 - 1 cup sugar
  • 1 sm pkg raspberry jello
  • 1 sm pkg strawberry jello

Directions

  1. Mix cranberries with 3/4 c sugar and let stand 1/2 hour. Taste and if needed add another 1/4 c sugar to sweeten. This will depend on how ripe the cranberries are.
  2. Measure reserved pineapple juice and add reserved mandrin orange juice to equal amount called for on the boxes. Heat to a boil and add both jello's - stir until disolved.
  3. In lrg bowl mix all ingredients together and refrigerate a minimum of 4 hours or overnight.
