Breakfast? Lunch? Snack? You pick. These homemade granola bars are great as a breakfast on the run with a banana, in a lunch box or after school with a cold glass of milk. I used raisins and chocolate chips in them but you could swap those for nuts, cranberries or other ingredients of your choice.

Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- ½ cup wheat germ
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup wheat flour
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- ½ cup raisins
- ½ cup molasses
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 beaten egg
Directions
- Mix together all but the last 3 ingredients.
- In the center make a well and add the last 3 ingredients.
- Mix together well with a fork until all well blended.
- Bake in a well greased 9Ã13 pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Cut before cooling into 12 slices (approx. 4.5 x 1.5).
- Remove from the pan when cooled.
- Yield: 12 slices
