Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb Sirloin steak per person Garlic butter
  • 1 shot of Irish whiskey per steak Cream Salt & pepper Watercress

Directions

  1. Rub each side of steak with garlic butter and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place on a warm griddle or possibly in a large heavy skillet over high heat. Cook on each side for 3 min for rare steak, 4 min for medium and 5 min for well-done. Pour whiskey over warm steak and set alight. When flames die down, put steaks on warm serving plates. Add in a little cream to the pan juices and cook over a fierce heat for a minute or possibly so. Pour sauce over steaks and serve, garnished with sprigs of watercress.
