Directions

  1. Mix topping ingredients and press onto bottom and sides of a greased 9x5" loaf pan.
  2. For batter: Cream sugar and butter till light and fluffy, about 5 mins.
  3. Add in Large eggs one at a time, and beat well after each addition.
  4. Sift flour with baking pwdr and salt. (I do not know, do people sift anymore)
  5. Add in to creamed mix alternately with mix of lowfat milk and vanilla - starting and ending with dry ingredients.
  6. Pour into prepared loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 - 1-1/4 hours.
  7. Cold in pan 10 mins.
  8. Loosen cake carefully and turn out onto wire rack to finish cooling.
  9. The cookie-nut crust is on the top. (obviously!)
