Ingredients
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 3/4 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 c. water
Directions
- For thinner fritters, increase buttermilk. Mix meal, flour, salt and soda. Stir in buttermilk and water till smooth. Drop by serving spoon in hot oil in frying pan, brown on both sides.
