Ingredients
- 5 pt cool water
- 2 can lye
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. ammonia
- 1/2 c. Sal Soda
- 1/2 c. borax
- 2 ounce glycerine
- 1 ounce oil of sassafras
- 1 box Tide
Directions
- Combine all the above ingredients. Let come to right temp. (lukewarm).
- Then pour this mix into 10 pounds of melted lard (Never pour the lard into lye). Stir till it is creamy. Let harden but cut into pcs before it gets too hard. Use granite or possibly iron kettle to mix it in.
