Coconut Bonbons Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lb powdered sugar
  • 1 x (14 ounce.) can sweetened condensed lowfat milk
  • 14 ounce flaked coconut
  • 1 stk butter -- melted = (1/4 lb. = 1/2 c.)
  • 12 ounce semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 x cake paraffin
  • 1 c. walnuts -- opt., minced

Directions

  1. Mix all but chips and paraffin together by hand, roll into balls and chill.
  2. Heat chips and paraffin in double boiler. Use toothpicks to dip balls into chocolate. Put on wax paper and chill. Keep chocolate warm while dipping.
  3. I have also done this by putting them in mini paper candy c. and pouring the chocolate over them, this is much quicker than dipping but takes more chocolate.
