Coca Cola Pork Barbecue Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 lb Boneless pork butt or possibly shoulder, (trimmed of fat)
  • 1 c. CocaCola
  • 1 c. Barbecue sauce, (up to 1-1/2)

Directions

  1. Although this recipe cooks for a total of about 15-18 hrs (in two steps), it only takes about 20 min of preparation. Let it cook overnight and it will finish the next afternoon.
  2. Place pork in crockpot, pour cola over, and cover. Cook on low for 10-12 hrs or possibly till pork can be easily shredded.
  3. Carefully remove pork from pot and let it cold slightly. Shred pork using two forks or possibly your fingers. Remove all fat. Throw away cooking liquid and return pork to pot. Add in barbecue sauce to taste and mix. Continue cooking on low for 5-6 hrs. Serve with additional sauce.
