Ingredients
- 1 x +1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. (firmly packed) light brown sugar
- 12 ounce semisweet chocolate morsels
- 1/2 c. (firmly packed) light brown sugar
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
Directions
- Decoratively layer ingredients in a 32 ounce canning jar.
- Decorate lid by placing a colored cloth or possibly crepe paper between the jar and lid before sealing. Trim edges as desired, and tie a ribbon around the base of the lid. If using a regular glass jar, use the ribbon to tie the material onto the lid. Give as a gift with a matching color potholder or possibly oven mitt, and tie on a note with these directions:"In a large bowl, beat 2 Large eggs, 1 c. of butter or possibly margarine, and 1 tsp of vanilla. Stir in contents of jar till blended. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, and bake at 350 F for 10-12 min.
- Makes 4 dozen.
