This recipe is from our friend Mattie; I love cabbage! I especially love "fried" cabbage, but this dish is next in line!
Ingredients
- 1 large head cabbage, quartered and stem removed
- 1 lb. smoked sausage
- 1 stick butter
- 1 onion
- 3 potatoes quartered
- salt and pepper
- 1/8 c. water
Directions
- Layer cabbage, sausage, onion,potatoes and butter; repeat until you've used it all. Salt and pepper to taste, then pour water over top. Cook covered for 15 minutes med heat.
