Butterscotch Fudge Bars Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. Pillsbury's Best All-Purpose Flour*, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp Soda
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 2 c. Firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. Butter, melted
  • 1 ounce Unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 tsp French's Vanilla
  • 3/4 c. Funsten's Nuts, minced
  • 1 ounce Chocolate, melted
  • 1 tsp Butter

Directions

  1. BAKE at 350 degrees for 25 to 35 min.
  2. MAKES about 3 dozen. Sifttogether the flour and soda. Beat Large eggs till foamy. Gradually add in brown sugar and continue beating till well blended. Stir in 1/2 c. butter, melted, unsweetened chocolate, and vanilla. Add in the sifted dry ingredients and nuts. Mix thoroughly. Turn into greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) 25 to 35 min. (For a very moist bar, bake only 25 min.) Cold. Drizzle with a mix of melted chocolate and 1 tsp. butter. Cut into bars or possibly squares.*For use with Pillsbury's Best Self-Rising Flour, omit soda.
