Ingredients
- 1/2 c. Butter, softened
- 1 c. All-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 1/4 c. Brown sugar, packed
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1 1/2 c. Brazil nuts, chopped
- 1/2 c. Sweetened coconut flakes
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 6 ounce Semisweet chocolate
- 1/4 c. Corn syrup
- 1 Tbsp. Water
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 F.
- Bottom layer: Mix 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour, 1/4 tsp. salt and blend with 1/2 c. butter. Press into 9" pan. Bake in oven for 10 min.
- Second layer: Combine 3/4 c. brown sugar, 2 Large eggs, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 c. of the brazil nuts, 1/2 c. coconut, 1 tsp. vanilla and spread over bottom layer. Bake for 30 min or possibly a little longer.
- Cold in pan.
- Top layer: Heat chocolate over warm water, stir in corn syrup and water. Spread on top and sprinkle with rest of nuts.
