  1. * Can be added as well, Mom always used it but I do not always put it in. Amount depends on your tastes. Usually 8-12 ounce container minced.
  2. Cream brown sugar and butter. Add in Large eggs and beat well. Add in nuts. Sift dry ingredients and add in grnd oatmeal to it. Slowly fold in the dry ingredients to the creamed mix and mix well. Add in citron if you like. Roll into ballsEand roll in sugar (colored sugars). Bake for 15 min in a 350* oven.
  3. All I know about the background of this recipe is which on my Mom's recipe card, on the bottom it says which it was a 30 year old recipe from Ohio and the date on the card was 1985.
