I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world off Highway 1 on the Central Coast of California with my food loving wife and three HUNGRY kids. We run our business, Artifacts Gallery by day, but cook, eat and drink all of the wonderful things that we can imagine up after hours. My passion for the kitchen and connection to the art business led to the creation of an art line for the kitchen. My sculptures of fruits and veggies take the magic of cooking to a whole new level. I love intense flavors. The delicious cajun cuisine I found in New Orleans on a "man-cation" weekend led me to hunt down The Palace Cafe in Santa Barbara. Because of these over the top delicious meals I have the goal to create the best cajun seasoning.
I have always chosen Thai food near the top of my list when I go out, but it wasn't until I visited Thailand that I cemented my roots in this cuisine. Curry's, lemongrass, fresh seafood, and spice!!
We love the Barbecue at our house. Any time we have the chance to throw something on the grill, sit outside while the kids play, and have a beer to enjoy each others company. . .we do it!
A great staple, from Brownies to Waffles (both are amazing)
Chefs I recommend
Deborah Scarborough(Cambria, CA)
"Chef Deborah opened the Black Cat in 2002 to rave reviews. She decided it unwise and frankly, not fun, to rest on her laurels. She received her culinary education at the Culinary Institute of American in St. Helena and she travels the world to learn about new flavors and culinary techniques. Chef Deborah also finds great pleasure in experimenting with flavors and techniques in the kitchen. She feels so fortunate to have her restaurant in an area that offers a seemingly endless bounty of fresh produce and beautiful wines. She only cooks with the freshest ingredients she can get her hands on. Having grown up on a ranch, she couldn’t imagine cooking any other way. She was named one of the top chefs by Central Coast Magazine in 2004."
