About me

I have dual homes. My main home is in the garlic capitol of the world, Gilroy, CA, where I teach computer aided drafting and design at the local community college. Most weekends I visit my husband, Andrew John, who has no desire to stop living among the redwoods in Boulder Creek (54 miles from where I work). We are a widow and widower who found each other and now enjoy richer lives that includes having six children and 13 grandchildren between us. Andrew spends most of his evening watching PBS where he discovered Dr. Joel Fuhrman's Eat to Live philosophy. I like the idea of not being hungry while I lose weight that I've accumulated over the past eight years. Looking forward to learning healthier ways to eat and glad that this site exists.
