Ingredients: Bacon Almond Spread:; small can water chestnuts, drained and minced; 6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped; 2 C shredded sharp cheddar - I like Wisconsin white; 4 scallion, chopped; 4 oz. toasted almonds; 1/2 C mayo; 2 T sour cream; dash Tabasco; chopped parsley for garnish; Bacon Torte:; 8 oz. soft cream cheese; 1 C shredded sharp cheddar; 3 chopped scallions; 4-6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped; 6 crumbled Ritz crackers; Cranberry Cheese Spread:; 8 oz. soft cream cheese; 2 T orange juice concentrate; 1/8 tsp cinnamon; 1 tsp orange zest; 1/4 C toasted pecans or almonds; 1/4 C chopped dried cranberries or Craisins; 2 T pepper jelly (Tabasco makes this)

Bacon Torte with Pepper Jelly

All these pair with crackers or toast.

Ingredients

Bacon Almond Spread:
small can water chestnuts, drained and minced
6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
2 C shredded sharp cheddar - I like Wisconsin white
4 scallion, chopped
4 oz. toasted almonds
1/2 C mayo
2 T sour cream
dash Tabasco
chopped parsley for garnish
Bacon Torte:
8 oz. soft cream cheese
1 C shredded sharp cheddar
3 chopped scallions
4-6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
6 crumbled Ritz crackers
Cranberry Cheese Spread:
8 oz. soft cream cheese
2 T orange juice concentrate
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp orange zest
1/4 C toasted pecans or almonds
1/4 C chopped dried cranberries or Craisins
2 T pepper jelly (Tabasco makes this)

Directions

Bacon Almond Spread can be served room temp. or bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes.
Bacon Torte: Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix 2 cheeses, mayo, scallions, bacon and spread in Pyrex or other pie plate. Top with crackers and when dish comes out of the oven in 20 minutes, dollop on pepper jelly.
Cranberry Spread: Mix together ingredients and serve room temp.
