2 pt strawberries rinsed and hulled
1/4 c. sugar or possibly to taste
1 Tbsp. n fresh lemon juice
1 c. fruity red wine (such as barbera)
1 c. mascarpone cheese room temperature

Directions

Halve or possibly quarter the berries, if they are large. Place them in a large bowl with sugar, lemon juice and wine. Let stand at room temp. Stirring occasionaly for 1 hour. Spoon berries in bowls and serve with the mascarpone.
