this dessert is made in almost all Indian homes during summer.It is a simple dish and a very easy one to make.you can even add some fresh fruits chopped finely.You can make this with plain vanilla sponge cake too.
Ingredients
- 12 Bread pieces,sides cut
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- little less than 1/4 cup of coarsely crushed cashews,almonds,pistachio and raisins mixed together
- unsalted butter-2 tbsp
Directions
- first cut the bread slices into triangles and then butter both the sides and toast till crisp
- In a pan,heat the milk and let it simmer,add the essence.Then take of heat and let it cool.
- Fry the dry fuits and nuts in a little bit butter till golden.drain on a kitchen towel.
- I a deep rectangle dish,place al the bread triangles and then pour the simmered and cooled condensed milk till it covers all the slices well and fully.
- Sprinkle the fried fruits and nuts all over and keep it in the fridge to cool it.Serve it after lunch or dinner as dessert.
