Ingredients
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 teaspoon soda
- 3 tbsp. cocoa
- 1 c. salad dressing (not mayonnaise)
- 1 c. boiling water
- 2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Mix first 4 ingredients. Add in water and mix well. Add in flour and vanilla. Pour into 9 x 13 inch greased and floured cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 min. Make frosting.
- Frosting: butter and egg yolks must be room temperature. Combine evaporated lowfat milk, butter, sugar, vanilla and egg yolks in 2 qts saucepan. Cook over medium heat (stirring occasionally) till thick about 12 min. Remove from heat. Add in coconut and nuts.
