Directions

  1. Brown steaks in shortening. Pour off drippings. Season steaks with salt and pepper. Combine mustard and horseradish and spread over steaks. Combine kraut, apples, onion and caraway seeds. Place in a 2 qt baking dish. Arrange steaks on top of mix. Cover tightly and bake at 350 degrees for 30 min, uncover and bake additional 30 min.
