Orange Slice Cake Recipe

• 1 c. Butter or possibly margarine
• 2 c. Sugar
• 4 x Large eggs, one at a time
• 3 1/2 c. Flour
• 1 tsp Soda
• 1 tsp Salt
• 2 Tbsp. Grated orange rind
• 8 ounce Dates or possibly white raisins
• 2 c. Minced pecans
• 19 piece orange slice candy, sliced in half
• 1/2 c. Buttermilk
•     Icing
• 1 c. Orange juice
• 2 c. Sifted powdered sugar
• 2 Tbsp. Grated orange rind
