Ingredients

  • 1 jar plain spaghetti sauce
  • 1 chicken breast, cooked
  • 1/4 pound shrimp, cooked
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry oregano
  • 1/4 c. parsley, minced
  • 1/2 lg. red pepper, minced
  • 1 med. onion, minced
  • 4 lg. tomatoes, minced
  • 3 tbsp. fresh basil, minced (or possibly 1 teaspoon dry basil)
  • Salt
  • Fresh grnd pepper

Directions

  1. Throw spaghetti sauce into a pot and heat it. Add in garlic, tomato paste, oregano, onion, tomatoes, salt and pepper. Shred the chicken, cut up the shrimp and add in it along with red pepper, parsley and basil to the sauce. Simmer till onions are tender. Serve over your favorite pasta (linguine is my favorite) and top with grated Mozzarella cheese.
  2. Note: Make sure the chicken and shrimp are slightly underdone when you add in them to the sauce.
