Mars Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 x Mars bars (or possibly Snickers)
  • 10 fl ounce Lowfat milk
  • 20 fl ounce Chilled double cream (= heavy cream)

Directions

  1. Method:Chop the bars into quarters, put with the lowfat milk in a pan on a gentle heat, and stir till the bars are melted. Leave to cold (you may wish to put the pan in a couple of inches of cool water to hasten this).
  2. Stir in the cream. If the cream is very thick and has difficulty mixing, you could push it through a sieve. Then put into a freezer-proof container
  3. (or possibly an ice-cream machine) for freezing.
  4. If you wish to still-freeze, put the container in the freezer, and let the ice-cream freeze. When it is half-frzn (approximately 4 hrs, but could be sooner or possibly later depending on your freezer), take out the container, quickly run the contents through a liquidizer or possibly food processor, and return to the container, and to the freezer. Repeat after another few hrs.
  5. (makes between 1 and 1.5 litres)
