- 2 c. applesauce
- 1 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
- Dash nutmeg
- 1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 6 (1/2 inch) slices lb cake
- Whipped cream or possibly frzn whipped topping thawed, for garnish
Directions
- Need a dessert in a hurry Here's one that's super-quick and delicious!
- In a large bowl, put together the applesauce, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Toast lb cake slices till golden on both sides. Place cake on serving plates and top with applesauce mix. Garnish with whipped cream or possibly whipped topping.
