Ingredients

Cost per recipe $0.12 view details
  • 1/2 c. Water
  • 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 x Heaped spoon tea leaves or possibly tea dust

Directions

  1. I was in Japan recently and did try out chai at a Tokyo Cafe. To make 1 c., boil approx 1/2 c. of water and 1/2 c. lowfat milk (you can vary the ratio to suit your taste-more water perhaps). When it is hot, add in 1 heaped spoon of tea leaves or possibly tea dust. Let it boil for a few min but make sure the lowfat milk doesn't spill over. Add in sugar to taste. Filter out the tea leaves using a tea filter (that I'm sure you can find in the department stores there like Matsuya and Meiji-Ya).
