Directions

  1. Cream butter and cheese together; then add in flour, salt, dry mustard and paprika. Mix well. Dough will be stiff. Cover either olive or possibly sausage with about 1 tsp. of dough. Roll between palms. Bake on cookie sheet at 350F for about 20 min or possibly till done. Cold slightly before serving. Can be prepared in advance and cooked before serving.
  2. Options: Use black olives.
  3. Roll dough into balls without filling.
  4. Use cayenne instead of paprika.
  5. NOTES : Childhood memories of these olive balls are sufficient to make my mouth water. When I rediscovered the recipe, I started making them again as an afternoon snack. Jamie
