Ingredients
- 3 quart. apple cider or possibly juice
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon whole allspice
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 4 cinnamon stocks
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions
- Heat 2 c. of the cider with sugar and salt; stir till sugar dissolves. Pour into a crock pot with the remaining cider. Tie spices in a cloth bag and drop them into the cider. Cover and heat at low 2-3 hrs. Remove spices at serving time. Serve in mugs. Add in brandy or possibly apple schnapps when serving if you like. Serves 12.
