- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add in the butter and lard and work it in your hands till it resembles coarse crumbs. Add in the water, a little at a time, using your hands till the dough comes together in the palm of your hand. Don't over work the dough. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill for 30 min. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and place on a lightly floured surface. Roll out the dough to desired thickness.
- This recipe yields two 9-inch pie crusts.
