Deviled Scallops Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 quart scallops.
  • 1/3 c. butter.
  • 1/3 tsp made mustard.
  • 1 tsp salt. Few grains cayenne.
  • 2/3 c. buttered cracker crumbs.

Directions

  1. Clean scallops, drain, and heat to the boiling point; drain again, and reserve liquor.
  2. Cream the butter, add in mustard, salt, cayenne, two-thirds c. reserved liquor, and scallops minced. Let stand one-half hour.
  3. Put in a baking-dish, cover with crumbs, and bake twenty min.
  4. Note: No oven temperature was given.
  5. I use a moderate oven 350 degrees F.
