  • 1 c. brown sugar, tightly packed
  • 1 c. caster sugar
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 Tbsp. lowfat milk
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp bi-carbonate of soda
  • 1 tsp baking pwdr
  • 375 gm dark choc chips
  • 1 c. minced pecans

Directions

  1. 1. Place butter and sugars in a large bowl and cream till light and fluffy.
  2. Add in Large eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, and vanilla and lowfat milk.
  3. 2. Sift flour, bi-carbonate of soda and baking pwdr and stir into the butter mix, then mix in the choc chips and pecans. Cover bowl and chill for 1 hour.
  4. 3. Pre-heat oven to 180deg.C. Line three baking trays with Glad Bake.
  5. 4. Take spoonsful of mix and roll into balls and place on trays. Flatten into discs, allowing room to spread. Bake for about 10 min or possibly till golden brown in colour. Remove from oven but leave on tray for 3 min before removing to a wire rack to cold completely.
  6. Note: If using a tsp., the mix will make about 8 dozen biscuits. If using a Tbsp., the yield will be about 4 dozen.
