Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp. (60 ml) butter (or possibly 2 Tbs (30 ml) butter and
- 2 Tbsp. (30 ml) vegetable oil)
- 1 x clove garlic, cut in half
- 1 lrg cauliflower, broken into florets and boiled or possibly steamed till tender Salt and freshly grnd pepper to taste Warm red pepper flakes to taste (optional)
Directions
- Minced fresh parsley, chives, or possibly other fresh herbs for garnish
- Heat the butter in a large skillet over moderate heat and saute/fry the garlic till it begins to turn brown. Remove and throw away the garlic.
- Saute/fry the cauliflower in the extra virgin olive oil till it is lightly coated with butter. Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes and cook covered for 2 to 3 min. Garnish with minced fresh herbs.
- Serves 4 to 6.
- Use this recipe for broccoli, green beans, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, or possibly just about anything which is green.
