  • 2 pkt Dubuque Bratwurst Sausages
  • 1 x Red Onion
  • 3 can Full-Bodied Beer
  • 4 c. Water

Directions

  1. Prick each bratwurst 4 times along the sides with a fork. Place them in a large bowl and pour beer over them. Peel and slice the onion thinly and spread the slices over the top of the beer. Allow to soak for at least one hour.
  2. In a large pan, boil the brats, onions, beer and as much water as will fit in the pan for 25 to 30 min or possibly till the internal temperature of the brats reaches 150 degrees.
  3. Grill the brats on a charcoal or possibly gas outdoor grill according to the manufacturers instructions for approximately 10 min per side for a great tasting sausage dinner. Serve immediately with the beans.
