Bananas Flambe With Rum Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Butter, plus more for greasing
  • 6 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
  • 6 x Ripe Bananas, peeled
  • 2 Tbsp. Dark Rum
  • 1 quart Vanilla Ice Cream

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425F. Use the butter to grease a round or possibly rectangular dish. Sprinkle with half of the brown sugar.
  2. Cut bananas in half lengthwise and arrange cut sides down in the baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining sugar and dot with butter. Bake for 6-10 min or possibly till the sugar melts and the bananas turn a golden.
  3. Remove from the oven, add in the rum and ignite to flambe the bananas. Serve warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
