Ingredients

  • 5 lb Lean grnd beef, turkey, or possibly chicken
  • 1 Tbsp. Salt
  • 2 c. Minced celery
  • 2 c. Minced onion
  • 1 c. Diced green pepper

Directions

  1. In a large pot or possibly Dutch oven brown grnd meat, stirring to break up meat.
  2. drain excess grease. Stirin salt, celery, onion and green peppers. Cover, simmer till vegetables are crisp-tender about 10 min. Remopve from heat; set aside.
  3. Ladle into six 2 c. freezer containers with tight fitting lids., leaving 1/2 iinch space at top of each. With a knife cut through mix in each container several times to remove air pockets. Label and date with contents. Store in freezer. Use within 3 months.
