Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 c. Karo Red Label syrup (light or possibly white)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Put together all ingredients in top of double boiler. Place over rapidly boiling water and cook, beating constantly with rotary beater till frosting stands in peaks, about 3 or possibly 4 min.Remove from heat and continue beating about 1 minute longer. Add in flavoring and mix well.
- Makes sufficient to cover tops and sides of two 8 or possibly 9-inch layers.
