Ingredients
- The cookie bars have chocolate chips and chopped up Twix candy bars. You can never have too much chocolate:)
- 2 1/8 cups all-purpose Gold Medal flour
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped Twix candy bars
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 4 tablespoons salted caramel sauce
- Sea salt, for sprinkling over bars

%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20used%20some%20of%20our%20Twix%20Candy%20Bars%20to%20create%20a%20spectacular%20dessert,%20Twix%20Caramel%20Cookie%20Bars.%20That%E2%80%99s%20right,%20a%20chocolate%20chip%20cookie%20bar%20with%20Twix%20candy%20bars%20AND%20salted%20caramel%20sauce.%20Is%20your%20mouth%20watering%20yet?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20don%E2%80%99t%20have%20leftover%20Easter%20candy%20lying%20around,%20you%20are%20excused%20to%20go%20to%20the%20grocery%20store%20to%20buy%20some%20Twix%20candy%20bars.%20This%20recipe%20is%20worth%20the%20extra%20trip%20to%20the%20store.%20Trust%20me!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20hardest%20part%20about%20this%20recipe%20is%20chopping%20up%20the%20candy%20bars%20and%20NOT%20eating%20them%20all.%20It%20took%20some%20major%20will%20power%20to%20save%20the%20Twix%20candy%20bars%20for%20the%20cookie%20bars.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20cookie%20bars%20have%20chocolate%20chips%20and%20chopped%20up%20Twix%20candy%20bars.%20You%20can%20never%20have%20too%20much%20chocolate:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20also%20drizzled%20salted%20caramel%20sauce%20over%20the%20bars%20before%20baking.%20I%20used%20a%20toothpick%20to%20swirl%20the%20caramel%20into%20the%20bars.%20I%20used%20our%20homemade%20salted%20caramel%20sauce,%20but%20you%20can%20use%20store%20bought%20caramel%20sauce%20if%20you%20want.%20I%20like%20Trader%20Joe%E2%80%99s%20salted%20caramel%20sauce%20when%20I%20am%20in%20a%20pinch.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20sprinkled%20a%20little%20sea%20salt%20over%20the%20bars%20and%20put%20them%20in%20the%20oven%20to%20bake!%20I%20counted%20down%20the%20minutes%20until%20I%20could%20dive%20into%20the%20pan%20of%20cookie%20bars.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20cut%20myself%20a%20big%20fat%20cookie%20bar%20and%20decided%20I%20mine%20as%20well%20go%20ALL%20out%20and%20add%20a%20scoop%20of%20vanilla%20ice%20cream%20and%20extra%20caramel%20sauce.%20I%20was%20in%20dessert%20heaven!%20I%20loved%20the%20big%20chunks%20of%20Twix%20candy%20bars%20and%20swirl%20of%20salted%20caramel%20sauce!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMake%20Twix%20Caramel%20Cookie%20Bars%20and%20join%20me%20in%20dessert%20heaven.%20It%20is%20a%20magical%20place.%20Beware,%20you%20will%20never%20want%20to%20leave:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETwix%20Caramel%20Cookie%20Bars%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYield:%2024%20cookie%20bars%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPrep%20Time:%2010%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECook%20Time:%2030-35%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETotal%20Time:%2045%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECookie%20bars%20with%20Twix%20candy%20bars,%20chocolate%20chips,%20and%20salted%20caramel%20sauce!%20These%20bars%20are%20a%20real%20treat!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Preheat%20oven%20to%20325%20degrees%20F.%20Spray%20a%209x13-inch%20baking%20pan%20with%20nonstick%20cooking%20spray%20and%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20In%20a%20medium%20bowl,%20whisk%20together%20flour,%20sea%20salt,%20and%20baking%20soda.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20In%20the%20bowl%20of%20a%20stand%20mixer,%20mix%20the%20melted%20butter%20and%20sugars%20together%20until%20combined.%20Add%20the%20eggs%20and%20vanilla%20extract%20and%20mix%20until%20smooth.%20Slowly%20add%20the%20dry%20ingredients%20and%20mix%20on%20low,%20just%20until%20combined.%20Stir%20in%20the%20chopped%20Twix%20candy%20bars%20and%20chocolate%20chips.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20Pour%20cookie%20dough%20into%20the%20prepared%20pan,%20smoothing%20the%20top%20with%20the%20spatula.%20Drizzle%20caramel%20sauce%20over%20the%20bars.%20Swirl%20caramel%20sauce%20into%20the%20cookie%20bars%20with%20a%20toothpick.%20Use%20a%20knife%20to%20smooth%20over%20the%20bars%20and%20spread%20in%20the%20caramel.%20Sprinkle%20cookie%20bars%20very%20lightly%20with%20sea%20salt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5.%20Bake%20cookie%20bars%20for%2030-35%20minutes%20or%20until%20the%20top%20of%20the%20bars%20are%20light%20golden%20brown%20and%20the%20edges%20start%20to%20pull%20away%20from%20the%20pan.%20Cool%20bars%20on%20a%20wire%20rack%20to%20room%20temperature.%20Cut%20bars%20into%20squares%20and%20serve.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
