  • Tomato skins

Directions

  1. Use tomatoes from your own garden or from source you know are organic, that do no have wax or pesticides on them for mass production or shipping
  2. Best use up that pile of skins from canning day
  3. Save the skins and dry then out in oven or dehydrater
  4. In the oven:
  5. Lay out in silpat mat or parchment
  6. Lay out in single layer... Most important
  7. Use more than one sheet to prevent clumping or overlapping if you have a pile from canning
  8. Set in 200 oven or toaster oven for about 4hours. Remove from oven when papery but take care not to over dehydrate.... Retain color
  9. When they are dry like crunchy fall leaves.... Grind in side grinder
