Sausage & Bacon Baked Beans (A.K.A. Pork & Bean Casserole) Recipe

This is one of my husband's most favorite dishes. Not hard to make and is a great dish for any dinner, barbecue or just a meal at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 Large (53 oz.)can Pork N Beans
  • 1 Small (28 oz.)can Pork N Beans
  • 1 (16 oz.)roll Pork Sausage
  • 1 (16 oz.)pkg. Bacon
  • 1 small onion, chopped into large pieces
  • 3Tbsp. Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. pancake syrup or molasses

Directions

  1. Break up the sausage and fry until browned; drain.
  2. In a 9 X 13 casserole dish, put both cans of beans, onion, brown sugar, syrup and cooked sausage. Mix together.
  3. Fry bacon and drain on paper towel.
  4. Break bacon into bite size pieces and place on top of beans. Press gently.
  5. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
