Mango Butter Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Honey
  • 1 c. Unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1/2 c. Finely-minced ripe mango

Directions

  1. In a small mixing bowl with a wooden spoon, beat together the honey, butter, and mango till proportionately mixed. Transfer to a ramekin, smooth off the top, and serve with hot breakfast breads.
  2. If you like, spread the butter on a long sheet of plastic wrap and roll up into a cylinder. Refrigerateor possibly freeze and cut off 1/2-inch disks of the flavored butter as needed.
  3. This recipe yields about 2 c..
  4. Variations: Substitute minced ripe papaya for the mango, or possibly use half mango and half papaya.
